Publisher's blue cloth with gold and white spine and upper board lettering. Decorative devices on spine and upper board, as well. Measures approximately 8 x 5 inches, pp. ix, 552 plus ads. Tissue-guarded frontispiece and seven additional full page illustrations by Walter Appleton Clark. Previous owner name in a neat hand on the free front end-paper. Shelf rubs at spine ends and board tips. Tips bumped. Upper board fore-edge protrudes ever so slightly beyond lower board fore-edge, as in an overbite. GOOD condition withal. See BAL 18234.
