About This Item

1810. Very good condition. A rare aquatint of West Point and the tight S-curve in the Hudson River at the Highlands. Two flags are clearly visible at the summit of Fort Putnam and at the waterline. Five small boats dot the river. A couple of trees stand on the mostly rocky looking outcrops. The view is drawn as if on a boat on the river, an intriguing perspective. The plate mark is visible on three sides. 3 1/2 x 6 1/16" on paper 5 x 8 1/2"
