Fading and mottling to cloth, front hinge broken, corners bumped, pencil scribble to rear endpapers, mild foxing to endpapers, interior clean, spine square, gift inscription dated 1888 on front free endpaper. Author was Ex-Surgeon Fifth Massachusetts Infantry and Commissioner Massachusetts Nautical Training School.
