In addition to the normal library markings and attachments, there are a few light stray soil spots and a few light stray pencil marks. The hinges are cracked and there are a few other light cracks in the binding, however there are no loose or missing pages. There are also seems to be a binding error as the frontispiece, title page and copyright page are duplicated on the last few pages of the book. The cover has corner wear and scuffing. David Douglas, 1905. Hardcover. Good. 1905. No Edition Remarks. 233 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Minor sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Visible wear marks to boards.

Very well preserved in green boards with black lettering and design. Frontis of author under tissue. Biographical edition. Gives introductory sketch, then Flute and Violin, a boy's violin, King Solomon of Kentucky, Two gentlemen of Kentucky, the white cowl, Sister Dolorosa, and posthumous fame.

Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
