About This Item
Wright, John. The Flower Grower's Guide: Plums. London: J.S. Virtue & Co, 1890s. Print, 4to, chromolithograph, colored. Slight aging and browning, right margin a little rough from extraction (no affect on image); otherwise bright and clean. This plate comes from Wright's (1836-1916) celebrated work on fruit (The Fruit Growers Guide). The beautiful plates from this work are credited to Miss Gertrude Hamilton and Marie Low. This colorful chromolithograph features several types of plums, including Pond's Seedling and Victoria, in a variety of colors. A very attractively colored print.
