Botany British floras . Pub. Longman et al; Maclachlan et al; Simpkin et al. 1840-1842. Three works bound in one volume. 8vo. Hardback. Some light coloured marking to plates, o/w. contents fine. Contemporary half-calf good, showing some wear and repair. With an advert (c.1840) pasted to rfep. for Edward Newmans A History of British Ferns which was published in 1840. The person who had the work bound was clearly keen on Ferns. All works are complete and with maps and plates present as published. Francis British Ferns is the second edition in which all the plates were redrawn.
