Collins and Harvill Press, Toronto and London, 1975. First Canadian Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. 650 grammes; 192 pages, last 3 blank, forward by Sir Peter Scott, introduction by authors, list of illustrations and acknowledgements. Blue coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with two maps, 12 coloured photographs and 26 black-and-white photographs. Blue coloured boards with silver writing on the spine. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine along with a little discolouration. Bumping to the top right-hand corner of the front panel and rubbing to the other book corners. Very slight shelfwear to the lower book edges and light dust marks to the top paper edge. Some marks to the endpapers. Coloured photographic dustwrapper, showing 2 Snow geese in flight, and on the back panel a black-and-white photograph of a Snow Goose. Rubbing and slight chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. Multiple small tears to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges with associated creasing. There are two larger tears to the lower front dustwrapper panel, measuring 0.5 " and 0.25 ". The dustwrapper panels are also quite rubbed and the back panel has grubby marks. The spine is slightly faded. Australian naturalists Des & Jen Bartlett documented the annual migration cycle of the snow geese and recorded every aspect of their lives over a two-year period.
