The text is illustrated by in Scott Momaday, who also drew the coloured illustration for the front panel. White coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Sequel to the author's Medicine Woman, in which the author continues her apprenticeship with the native American shaman and Agnes Whistling Elk. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. Reading creases to the back strip and the front spine gutter is quite rubbed stop marks to the laminate of the panels with Browning to the verso of the covers. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with some marks to the free front end page. Previous owners initials to the top edge of the half title page.
