About This Item

New York: Doubleday, 2018. BOLDLY SIGNED by the AUTHOR (signature only, NOT personalized to anyone). "SIGNED COPY" sticker on the front. NEW in a NEW dust jacket. SEE OUR PHOTOS. Near PERFECT condition. The jacket shows just a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear (like you sometimes find in any new book store). NO chips, tears, creases or fading. NOT price clipped ($26.95). Bright and shiny. Sharp corners. Square and tight. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked. NOT a remainder. 2018. First printing with "First Edition" so stated and complete number row (13579 10 8642) on the copyright page. Bound in the original red boards, with a white spine stamped in shiny crimson metallic. Complete with dust jacket. From the publisher: "Cassandra Bowden is no stranger to hungover mornings. She's a binge drinker, her job with the airline making it easy to find adventure, and the occasional blackouts seem to be inevitable. She lives with them, and the accompanying self-loathing. When she awakes in a Dubai hotel room, she tries to piece the previous night back together, already counting the minutes until she has to catch her crew shuttle to the airport. She quietly slides out of bed, careful not to aggravate her already pounding head, and looks at the man she spent the night with. She sees his dark hair. His utter stillness. And blood, a slick, still wet pool on the crisp white sheets. Afraid to call the police -- she's a single woman alone in a hotel room far from home -- Cassie begins to lie. She lies as she joins the other flight attendants and pilots in the van. She lies on the way to Paris as she works the first class cabin. She lies to the FBI agents in New York who meet her at the gate. Soon it's too late to come clean -- or face the truth about what really happened back in Dubai. Could she have killed him? If not, who did?". Signed by the Author (signature only). First Printing of the First Edition. Hardcover. New condition/New dust jacket. 8vo. (xii), 357pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
