1938 portfolio as pictured. Binding is firm, spine uncreased. Covers are rubbed and tanned with a few small tears and chips at edges and at head and tail of spine, jacket with French flaps attached to the spine. Endpapers are mottled. The text block is in two sections. The first 20 pages contain descriptions of the plates in French. These pages are age tanned but clean and unmarked. The second section contains 36 superb reproductions of alpine wildflowers paintings printed in full color on heavy stock. The edges of these pages are lightly tanned, 2 pages have mottling near the fore edge which does not intrude into the plate. All of the images are in very good condition and suitable for framing.
