FIRST EDITION 1876, 8vo, approximately 220 X 140 mm, 9 x 5½ inches, 8 illustrations with tissue guards, vignette of galley to title page, 235 pages plus 26 pages of adverts, original publisher's cloth, gilt lettering to spine, gilt galley to upper cover, blind and black decoration to covers, brown endpapers, binder's small ticket to rear pastedown. Binding slightly rubbed and bumped, lacks last free endpaper, publisher's small pale rubber stamp to foot of title page, pale age-browning and an occasional spot, otherwise a very good copy.
