About This Item

Pasadena: David Laidig Publishing Company, 1967. First Edition. Slim quarto (27.5cm); photo-illustrated wrappers; 24pp; illus. Subtle toning to extremities, else very Near Fine. Fourth issue of this short-lived Pasadena magazine, with an emphasis on poetry, cartoons, and local happenings. Notable for the inclusion of Charles Bukowski's 'A Rambling Essay on Poetics and the Bleeding Life Written While Drinking A Six-Pack (Tall),' which first appeared in OLÉ 2 (March, 1965), and a beautiful full-page psychedelic flyer on p.19, advertising a Love-In at Brookside Park. Scarce in commerce, with OCLC showing just 11 institutional holdings for any issues. Dorbin D29.
