About This Item

Ouagadougou, Upper Volta: UDVRDA, 1973. 20p., 8.5x11.5 inch mimeographed sheets stapled together at upper left corner, tri-color printed cover, very good. Text in French. Conomba was minister of foreign affairs and became prime minister of Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso) under president Aboubakar Sangoulé Lamizana. Articles include an editorial on the cease-fire ending the October War, which describes the conflict as a proxy battle between the superpowers of the US and USSR (and has a line thoroughly blacked out that seems to have said something about New York Jews); a piece questioning Soviet motives in Upper Volta; a piece by J.M. Sawadogo on combatting false notions of democracy, and more.
