London: Methuen and Co, 1903. Vellum. Very Good. 9" by 6". None. A limited edition copy of Rudyard Kipling's collection of poetry 'The Five Nations', containing poems about British soldiers. A limited edition work printed on hand-made paper, being limited to two-hundred copies. The limited edition was published in the same year as the first edition. 'The Five Nations' is a collection of poetry by Rudyard Kipling. The collection is divided into two sections, the first covering a wide range of subjects. The second section is titled 'Service Songs' and contains poems about British soldiers at the turn of the twentieth century. Kipling is best known for his novel 'The Jungle Book', however he was a prolific writer of poems, novels, and short stories. Being born in India inspired much of his work, and he went on to become one of the most popular writers of his time. In the original publisher's quarter paper vellum binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. A little loss to the head of the spine. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
