About This Item

London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1947. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: Hodder & Stoughton 1947). First UK Edition. Publisher's light-blue ribbed boards with black lettering to the spine. Pictorial end-papers printed in dark blue and black. A near fine copy with just a hint of foxing to page block edges but with no previous owner's inscriptions in like D/W with the all-important telescope the wrong way round on both the front cover and the frontispiece. The D/W is priced 6/- net to the inside flap (as called for) with a touch of fraying at the head of the spine and a short, imperceptible. closed tear to the bottom left-hand corner of the front panel. A very nice copy indeed. Famous Five # 6. Photographs/scans available upon request.
