London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1947 Book. Illus. by Eileen Soper. VG+. Hardcover. 2nd Printing. there is NO TRUTH in the assertion that the first edition of this book was "withdrawn" because of the "wrong-way-round" telescope on the d/w. In fact, it was REPRINTED IN EXACTLY THE SAME ERRONEOUS FORMAT just two months later when the first edition had sold out. The error was not corrected until TWO YEARS LATER in June 1949 - the telescope on the d/w was corrected, but the frontispiece showing the same telescope error was never used in the 3rd and subsequent printings. This is a VG+ copy of the the second printing with just a narrow touch of sunning on the top edge, in a VG first-issue unclipped 1st edition d/w which has some short tears, shallow chips, and minor rubs, a decent copy.

Five On Kirrin Island Again is the sixth novel in the "Famous Five" series by Enid Blyton. It was first published in October, 1947.
