London: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1876. Fifth Great Monarchy, third edition, Sixth and Seventh Monarchies, first editions, unknown but probable first printings. Light wear, overall near fine and internally clean with hinges and joints firm (excepting front hinge and joint on volume 3 which are partially cracked) in custom mylar covers.. One-half green calf over green pebble grained cloth, spine with red title labels and elaborately gilt in remaining compartments. From the library of and with ownership signature of Margaret Patten Evans, wife of Colorado Governor, John Evans. John Evans was appointed by Lincoln to be the second Governor of the Colorado Territory in 1862. Evans was also one of the founders of Denver University.
