Smith Elder & Co, 1887. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1887. No Edition Remarks. 332 pages. No dust jacket. Half bound brown cloth with patterned boards. Gilt titles to spine. Book has been rebound. Marbled text block edges. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Heavy warping and creasing to most pages. Final page clipped and slightly stuck to rear pastedown but still legible. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Gilt is bright.
