Original publisher's full brown morocco, gilt, top edges gilt, others untrimmed; pp. xii + 413; photogravure frontispiece and 60 plates, 7 in colour, title-page printed in red and black, large initial letters printed in red; a little sunning to spine, prelims spotted, but a very nice copy of this handsome volume. Numer 572 of 750 numbered copies. In his Preface the editor claims that "heretofore no attempt has been made on a similar scale to provide in a single work information about fishing in all parts of the world." As well as the editor himself, contributors to the volume are Theodore Gordon, E.T.D. Chambers, Nigel Bourke, R.B. Marston, H.S. Thomas, C.E. Lucas, and F.G. Aflalo.
