The story of the United States Coast Guard, with particular emphasis on its contributions during WWII (the book was written in 1944). The author was the Navy correspondent for Time Magazine. A lively and entertaining account. A bright, near fine copy, gilt lettering bright, a bit bumped at the tips. In pictorial dust jacket, still bright, price clipped and with wear and shallow chipping at tips and edges.
