About This Item

MP3 Audio CD. The author studies the letters to the seven churches of Asia which opened the book of Revelation in the New Testament. More than 1900 years have surpassed, and still our churches in the present time encountered several of the same inducements, heroic efforts and trials as those met by these first century followers. Morgan takes home how the lessons of Christ to these first churches are in the same way helpful to our churches nowadays.

This contains: Introductory; The Vision and the Voice; The Ephesus Letter; The Smyrna Letter; The Pergamum Letter; The Thyatira Letter; The Sardis Letter; The Philadelphia Letter; The Laodicea Letter.

Reverend Doctor George Campbell Morgan D.D. was an English preacher, evangelist and a primary Bible scholar. A contemporary of Rodney "Gipsy" Smith, Morgan addressed his first sermon at 13 years of age. He became the pastor of Westminster Chapel in London. Resting for a short moment at Biola in Los Angeles, when he passed on the pastorate of that respected clergy to the celebrated Martyn Lloyd-Jones, after having imparted it with him and counselled for the past few years.

Morgan was a remarkable writer, he had around 80 writings during his time, not including the 10-volume set of sermons, "The Westminster Pulpit" and several of his sermons being printed separately as booklets and pamphlets, nor the following writings. He authored vast annotations on the whole Bible, and on uncountable religious themes about the Christian life and ministry. His article "The Purposes of the Incarnation" was comprised in a renowned and old compilation referred to as The Fundamentals, a set of 90 essays edited by the famous R. A. Torrey, who himself superseded D. L. Moody both as a preacher and pastor. The Fundamentals is greatly regarded to be the ground work of the present day Fundamentalist movement.
