This is an original 8" X 9" staple bound, 24 page program guide for th e Second Pageant/Fair put on by the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce to attract tourists and honor the many Southwest Indians living in or ar ound Albuquerque. The first pageant was held in 1928 and then ran cons ecutively until 1931. The event featured concerts, traditional dances, dramas, arts and crafts and races. This illustrated booklet features the many programs available and highlights brief stories of the stars, Princess Louschaenya, Chief Yowlache, Haske Naswood & Jules Verne All en, The siging cowboy. Numerous sponsors and local merchants ads appea r through-out. This rare program is in Fair to Good condition. Creasin g to the bottom right corner of the front cover. Soiling and spotting to the covers. Both covers are tearing along the spine fold and are he ld on by the staples. The interior pages have mild soiling to the edge s but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Quite scarce in any condition, it's doubtful that more than a handful still exist. .
