Some creasing and small tears to edges of dustwrapper, minor bumping to spine ends and corners of red boards, Previous owner's name inside front board and (scribbled out) on front page, pages are yellowed, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover novel. The author was Max Catto but writing under the name Simon Kent. The story, set on Martinique, involves two small-time smugglers and a mysterious woman . The 1957 film ''Fire Down Below'' starring Rita Hayworth, Robert Mitchum and Jack Lemmon was based on the story. 287pp.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
