New York: Mysterious Press, 1994 The second book in the Barlow series. Author Robert A. Carter's writing has been described as witty and yet hard-boiled. Nicolas Barlow is - like the author - involved in the book publishing industry. He discovers his highly disliked dragon of an editor dead in the New York office, and must pound the pavement, (albeit stylishly and with great charm) in his fine Savile Row suit, in order to exculpate himself to the cops. Condition: Fine, in a Near Fine dust jacket. 3/8- inch spot to front of d/j. Otherwise book is crisp, clean, and like new. . First edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine.
