The binding is the original brown boards, with a black cloth spine lettered in shiny gold. This is third volume in the autobiography of actor and film producer John Houseman (1902 -1988), covering the years from 1955 to 1974. Although Houseman produced more than two dozen films, he is perhaps better remembered for his role as Professor Charles Kingsfield in the 1973 film THE PAPER CHASE. He won both a Golden Globe and Academy Award for his performance and later reprised the role in the TV series of the same name. Baby-boomers will also recall his ubiquitous catchphrase, "They make money the old fashioned way... they earn it" in TV commercials for the brokerage firm, Smith Barney.
