Secaucus, NJ: Citadel Press, 1973. First Edition. Signed by actor William Holden on the half-title beneath his printed name. Oversize format, 8 3/4” x 11 1/4”, 255 pages, illustrated throughout. Near fine bright copy with a trace of handling in a near fine dust jacket with some very minor handling and edge wear. The last film profiled in this book is Breezy, released in 1973, directed by Clint Eastwood, starring William Holden and Kay Lenz. Some of the films William Holden (1918 - 1981) is best known for include Billy Wilder’s Sunset Boulevard (1950) for which he received a Best Actor Oscar nomination, Stalag 17 (1953) for which he won a Best Actor Oscar, Sabrina (1954), The Bridges at Toko Ri (1954), Picnic (1956), The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), The World of Suzie Wong (1960), The Wild Bunch (1969), and Network (1976) for which he received a Best Actor Oscar nomination. He won a Primetime Emmy for Best Actor in a Limited Series for The Blue Knight (1973). Handsome and talented, William Holden is among the truly greats.
