About This Item

New York, NY, U.S.A.: Bantam Books, 1985. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Born in the jungles of Burma in 1944 and coming of age in the jungles of Vietnam, Air Commando has carved its own legend as an anti-guerrila, anti-insurgency force par excellence. No job is too tough for their daredevil pilots. From landing in tiny jungle clearings in order to snatch our troops out of the jaws of death, to dropping essential supplies on a dime, to reconnaissance missions, to providing supporting fire in countless gunfights, the men of Air Commando are there as needed. Their aircraft too is special - ordinary planes transformed for extraordinary purposes, from the slowest and oldest to the most sophisticated and experimental. Here then are the men, the machines, the battles - from Burma to Grenada with the U.S. Air Commando - action and heroism at its unpredictable best. 133 pages. Including 8 pages of photos. Some light rubbing on top & bottom & edges of spine and some places on outside edges. 1" & 1/2" crease on front cover top right corner. Bottom of spine rear cover top left corner and bottom right corner are all slightly bumped. Some browning on inside of front and rear cover. Book is nice and tight..
