Companion Books., 1966. First Edition.. Hardcover.. VG+/VG. 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 7/8.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book VERY GOOD PLUS/ Dust Jacket Very Good. Ex-Library. Boards and spine are green cloth, lettering gilt on navy. Dust jacket is pictorial front/back, lettering white. Dust jacket is price clipped, has a small bit of age darkening on spine, has remnant of small library sticker on DJ spine, has a small chip and four 1/2 inch closed tears on back cover with no paper missing. Book itself has covers and spine flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, two tiny chips on edge, four small shadows of tape. Page edges slightly sunned and stamped with small library stamp. Inner end papers are maps, same front and back. Rag edge pages. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. A few small brown dots on page 43, library sticker on back of ffep, small library stamp on title page and page 11. Page 223 has a piece missing about 2 x 2 inches where removal of library pocket damaged paper. A few pages dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Four sections of Black/white photo plates. Author’s Note, Appendix, Our Stores and Equipment, Navigation, Safety Equipment and Radio, English Rose III, Track, Cooking, Rations and Water, Medical Pack, Clothing and Bedding and Pages From The Logs.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
