Like the first volume, this book is ideal for use in the field and is packed with all the information needed for positive identification of Australian birds. It gives complete coverage of the "small bush birds" and other passerines. Each Australian passerines is fully described in a text which covers size, range, habitat, voice and details of male, female, and immature markings. The colour plates sure many plumage forms, and phases never before illustrated. The maps show the known ranges of the birds described in the text. dust jacket has a small split at the top of the front fold over, and rubbing with a chip at the top of the spine, 1 inch tear bottom right-hand corner of the rear panel and bottom left-hand corner of the rear panel.
