First post-16th century edition of this comic poem in praise of figs by Annibale Caro, with the even more comic commentary. 157 pp. "Nasea", a satiric poem about the nose of Leoni Ancona, is included at the end. Printed on extremely fine laid paper. 12mo. Original wraps (lightly worn). ENTIRELY UNCUT. A very faint stain on upper part of last few leaves, else INTERNALLY FINE AN BRIGHT. WorldCat cites one copy of this edition, none in the United States. A pristine copy of a very rare book.
