Title translates to "A Memorandum on the 50th Anniversary of the Academy for the Science of Judaism in Berlin. " A collection of Jewish studies papers published for the 50th anniversary of the Academy for the Science of Judaism, a rabbinical seminary in Berlin. Divided into five papers on Judaism by scholars at the academy. Leo Baeck "was a 20th-century German rabbi, scholar and theologian. He served as leader of Liberal Judaism in his native country and internationally, and later represented all German Jews during the Nazi era" (Wikipedia, 2016) . Eduard Baneth was a "world-famous Talmudic scholar and professor of Talmudic studies in the Rabbinical Seminary of Berlin" who authored "a number of works on Talmudic lore" (JTA, 1930) . Ismar Elbogen "was a Jewish-German rabbi, scholar and historian" who authored several works" (Wikipedia, 2016) . Julius Guttmann "was a German-born rabbi, Jewish theologian, and philosopher of religion" (Wikipedia, 2016) . Harry Torczyner was "an international lawyer, art collector and writer who championed the causes of Israel and his native Belgium" (New York Times, 1998) . Includes tables.
