Original full colour pictorial laminated boards. = This is an offprint from Esperiana, Buchreihe der Entomologie, volume 8. A series named after Eugen Johann Christoph Esper (1742-1810) with a portrait of Esper on p. 2. This work by the German entomologist Hermann Heinrich Hacker includes fine illustrations (including many type specimens) and excellent descriptions of new species and poorly known species of noctuid moths from the Levante (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and the Asian part of Egypt), but is useful for adjacent parts of Turkey, North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and parts of the Mediterranan too. An excellent, clean, and unmarked copy.
