Second English edition, the issue without half-title in volume one and patterned (not yellow) endpapers. First published in Norway under the title Fram over polhavet, den norske polarfaerd 1893-1896 (Oslo: 1896-1897), the first English edition with a less evocative binding was published in 1897 and this, the second, in the following year. This is the issue bound from the parts, the last instalment of which contained the binding enabling the owner to have it bound. See PMM 384.
