Basel: Museum fur Volkskunde, 1969.. 1969.. Very good. - Octavo, softcover bound in pictorial wrappers. The spine is lightly rubbed with a light tape stain to its tail & to the adjacent corners of the wraps. 40 pages of text plus 82 black-and-white photographs of exhibits. Very good. <p>Guide to an exhibition which ran at the Museum fur Volkerkunde and Schweizerische Museum fur Volkskunde, Basel, Switzerland from 2 July 1968 to 23 February 1969. Through his study of the exhibits, the author seeks to identify patterns of color and motif which recur in items with similar uses from different ethnic sources. These include American Indian artifacts as well as objects from Africa, Indonesia, Australia and New Guinea. The text is in German.
