When Victorian ladies of society were invited to Fancy Dress Balls (Costume Parties), They would review the contents of this book and select a costume for the evening. A truly magnificently bound volume presenting a detailed overview of late 19th century fashions. Covers slightly bowed, the mildest of usual darkening to vellum, else a fine gleaming copy
