London: Debenham & Freebody/Edward Arnold . This is a Good Only Copy of this book in green cloth with gilt title lettering to spine and upper cover.No dust-jacket.There is some clear and obvious dampt mottled stain marks to the rear cover and with further rubbing to spine and to the corners.There are green floral patterned endpapers which are original with one previous owner's name to the front pastedown.This copy has an inscription from the publisher's in ink to the verso of the Title Page and it reads............. '' with messrs Debenham & Freebody's compliments '' There are a total of 60 illustrations by Lilian Young within the book and 20 of these are coloured plates with fine atttention to details and are of striking in their appearance.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness,no loose leaves etc and no internal page gatherings are loose.Contents remain clean internally and this work being the 6th edition is much improved on the 5th Edition,8vo 293pp plus appendix and plus 32 page publisher's catalogue at the rear of the book.Circa 1895/1896 . Good. Hardcover. Sixth Edition. 1895.
