Title States Old and New Testaments but this is the First Volume only (of 2), containing the Entire Old Testament, including the Apocypha. Handsome contemporary Full leather Binding, with 4 raised bands to spine. Gilt and blind stamped Decorative and Linear Borders to front & rear. Gilt Decoration and Lettering to spine. All Page edges Gilt. marbled Endpapers. Illustrated Family Register unmarked. Beautiful Engraved Frontispiece with a Portrait of Christ at the Last Supper; opposite Title Page Illustrated with "Rebbeca at the well". Followed by a page illustrating The Ten Commandments, followed by the printed Title Page. Text in Double Columns with many Notes at the bottom of the Pages. Many Fine Engraved Illustrations. 13 3/4" Tall. A little light marginal foxing to a few pages, most are in very nice, clean condition. Weighs nearly 6 Kilos so shipping outside UK will be extra.
