Includes laid in letter, translated from Spanish. (Sabin 29309). A thorough description of slavery in the West Indies, slavery in the United States, travel in Jamaica and the abolitionist movement. The author, Joseph John Gurney was a noted Quaker philanthropist and crusader against slavery.
