Stanley provides a comprehensive overview of the subject of birds, covering topics such as their internal structure, flight, their various species and their history. Profusely illustrated with charming vignettes throughout. With the bookplate of Henry Tempest-Hicks to the front paste down. In a full calf binding, with gilt decoration. Externally, very smart, with light bumping and rubbing to the extremities and the odd mark to leather. Slight fading to the spine and to the head of the front board. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
