Beautiful drawings, b/w and color, of fishes discussed, in action, and of other animals, i.e. raccoon and other streamside critters. This is a volume in the Natural History Series that describes the life, habitat and habits of more than a hundred species of freshwater fishes. Field identification of individual species can be made 'quick and sure' using Carl Burger's portraits. Bound in clean and unmarked blue cloth, silver titles; tight, solid and square. Small (less than 1/2inch) spot on lower edge of text block, top edge dust dulled. Internals in Fine Condition. Jacket is clean and unmarked, light edgewear with a one inch partially closed tear to upper edge near the spine. 324 pages. 9.5 x 6.5 inches. Harper and Row, New York, New York, USA
