Novel set in California in the 21st century, a world devasted by pollution, war and disease. SIGNED and dated on the title page by Yarbro, who also corrected her year of birth on the copyright page. When signing this Yarbro commented that it was only the first printing dust jacket that the red eyes of the mutant pirate on a motorcycle on the cover were improperly offset. 208 pp.
