Connecticut, USA: The Easton Press, 2001. Hardcover. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 198pp, with full colour plate frontispiece. Bound in full brown leather with extensive gilt stamped decorations, six panelled spine, all edges gilt, golden silk ribbon marker bound in, decorated endpapers. Printed on archival quality paper (which will not tan with age) especially milled for this edition. Silk ribbon marker lightly fraying at end, very slight strain to gutter between frontispiece and title page, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Leaflet containing the Easton Press's Collector's Notes on Falling Free loosely laid in. Stated 'Collector's Edition'. A handsome edition of this classic work of science fiction.
Synopsis
The Vorkosigan Saga is a series of science fiction novels and short stories by American author Lois McMaster Bujold. Most of them concern Miles Vorkosigan, a physically disabled aristocrat from the planet Barrayar whose life (from before birth), military career, and post-military career is a challenge to his native planet's prejudices against "mutants.
