This listing includes two items: 1) Book: Hardcover w/ Dust Jacket -79 p. : chiefly ill., maps ; 23 x 33 cm. Oblong folio; publisher's original blue linen over boards, gilt lettering to upper cover. Accompanying this, our offering also includes the super scarce companion portfolio of the same name: 2) Portfolio: Ten lithographs (one double size), each measuring 28 cm. x 37 cm. and printed on heavyweight cream colored stock; loose, contained in a thin cardstock folder lettered and decorated identically to the book; an additional cover page which features thumbnails of all the prints completes the set. Book Condition: faint signs of handling, else fine in a jacket showing very light wear to the extremities, faint toning along edges. Portfolio condition: cardstock folder shows some bonks, creases and general signs of handling; enclosed prints are all in pristine, fresh, unmarred condition. Fine. While offerings by the trade of the "Falcons" book have never been rare, Worldcat has only ever shown three institutional holdings of this title. (Harvard, Bibliothèque nationale de France and Bibliotheque Nationale Universitaire de Strasbourg). By the same token, this is the only copy of the "Falcons" portfolio of prints we've ever seen and Worldcat shows only a single copy at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. A rare offering, in lovely condition, of the complete set of this lavishly produced corporate messaging piece.
