There is cracks to guttering with exposed netting and pencil inscriptions to rear endpaper. Binding is loose. Boards have visible rubbing and notable bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends.

In good tan cloth boards, black titles to front and spine, tipped in colour illustration of two boys in street with paper boat on front. The covers are clean and very tight, spine ends and corners frayed and a little bumped. "The Clevedon Community Bookshop Co-operative Bindery Team have re-glued split spine. Tanned rear free end paper; the front paste down is slightly tanned, with name and 'Music Prize' in pencil. The front free end paper is missing. Age-toned cut edges. The text block is tightly bound, good, a little worn, with a few marks. "The Clevedon Community Bookshop Co-operative Bindery Team" have made some paper repairs and replaced a portion of page 125. Lovely colour plates by Alice Ross. No frontispiece. Rare.
