Folke Tegetthoff was born in 1954, in Graz (Austria). [From Biography on pages 173] In 1977, after four years of study (medicine and education), he dropped his academic ambitions in order to pursue a career as a writer. In 1979 he gave his first performance as a storyteller and his first book of fairy tales was released. Since then, 20 books have been published and more that 1400 performances in 34 countries given.. Folke Tegetthoff has succeeded in bringing nwe life to the art o the fairy-tale. To young as well as to adult audiences, in his native Austria, as well as throughout the world, he has agian made the fairy-tale a living art form... This first English-German anthology of his work has been prepared in order to celebrate his worldwide success, and to make his stories available to a broader public.
