Dating from 1949, the set contains unabridged translations of the following fairy tales: The Tinder Box, The Emperor's New Clothes, Thumbelisa (2 volumes), The Flying Trunk, The Real Princess, The Shepherdess and The Chimney Sweep, The Little Swineherd, The Little Match Girl, Numbskull Jack, The Ugly Duckling (2 volumes). Fully illustrated in vivid colour by Svend Jensen of Denmark. Card covers are of assorted colors and illustrated front and back. Lovely pictorial end papers. Pages in very good condition. Without box, however, these volumes remain highly collectable and beautiful objects in their own right.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. Illus. by Jensen, Svend. 64mo - up to 3" tall.
