The gold and silver found in the Colorado Rockies in the 1860s resulted in mining camps and mills of all sorts to pop up, only to be abandoned later as the riches were exhausted. The authors, two geologists from the Colorado School of Mines, have produced this collection of black & white photos they took as they sought to share evidence of the earlier habitations of the early miners. Their photos are accompanied by various poems and other writings. --- In light blue cloth-covered boards with darker blue cover & spine titling. Leaves in textured, gloss paper. Jacket with blue monochrome mountain scene photo to cover. --- A clean, bright, tightly-bound copy lacking apparent damages. Jacket with some small tears to edges and a little soiling, else in good shape and protected in clear removable mylar wrapper.; Quarto (11 to 13 in. tall); vi, 186 pages .
