About This Item

New York: Mannados Book Shop, 1945. Only Edition. Wraps. Very good. Octavo, pp; 43; seven black and white cuts of Remington Bronzes and other oil paintings; original printed pictorial paper wrappers; light soiling to wrapper, else very good. OCLC locates just one copy at Texas A & M. Inside rear cover reprints Owen Wister's "Autumn On Wind River". Mannados specialized in Western Americana and Frederic Remington. Very instructive catalogue, 436 items as varied as Remington's first Western oil painting, "Cowboys Driving Horses To Water" at $2500, or Theodore Roosevelt's Medora Edition of Hunting Trips Of A Ranchman at $5.00. Both were great buys!
