Quarter, bound in full pebbled leatherette with gilt titles to the front panel, containing numerous facsimiles of original signed documents, many folding. In very good condition. Rare. This volume of old New Zealand records comprises three documents, namely, the Declaration of the Independence of New Zealand, the original draft of the Treaty of Waitangi, and a series of copies of the Treaty itself as finally adopted, signed by the principle chiefs in various parts of both islands.
