This copy - as usual - without the separate toy ladder. §The volume contains later editions of thirteen of Hone's major political tracts including all the illustrations (a total of three of which are folding), with a new eight page introduction. The two 1824 Quarterly Review articles are included. An entirely uncut copy, lately handsomely professionally rebound in green quarter calf (spine slightly faded), contrasting label, gilt lettering and decoration, marbled boards. Contemporary ink presentation inscription 'Joseph Swindon, the gift of his affectionate Mother' to prelim. blank (this with discreet professional repair to corners). Old bookseller's ticket laid down on front pastedown. Touch of occasional light textual browning. A very good copy, attractively rebound.
